Job Summary of Forklift Operator:

Join Walmart as a Forklift Operator and play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse or distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be to safely operate forklifts and other equipment to move, stack, and retrieve merchandise. You'll ensure smooth warehouse operations by transporting goods, loading trucks, and assisting with inventory tasks.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Forklift Operator:

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other equipment to move merchandise within the warehouse.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and damage to merchandise.
• Maneuver equipment in tight spaces and narrow aisles while maintaining awareness.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Transfer merchandise between storage areas and shipping docks efficiently.
• Assist with inventory counting, cycle counts, and replenishment.
• Use handheld devices or computer systems to update inventory records accurately.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE during operations.
• Conduct equipment inspections and report any issues promptly.
• Work with warehouse associates and supervisors to meet operational goals.
• Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.

Qualifications and Experience of Forklift Operator:

• Valid forklift operator certification or license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in forklift operation within a warehouse setting.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and inventory practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling merchandise.
