Job Summary of Distribution Center Associate:

The role of a Forklift Operator at Walmart is to operate material handling equipment while adhering to safety standards and protocols. You will be tasked with moving, stacking, and retrieving merchandise in the warehouse as well as assisting with inventory control. Along with this, you will also be responsible for loading and unloading trucks to ensure the delivery of top-quality products to Walmart customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Distribution Center Associate:

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment responsibly and efficiently, following safety protocols at all times.
• The objective of the job is to facilitate the transportation process by moving products to and from designated areas, such as loading docks and storage rooms.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stocks as needed, while also keeping detailed records of all transactions and product movements.
• Respect safety measures, conduct regular equipment checks, and alert superiors immediately if any safety hazards are found.
• Team up with your peers to accomplish the operational goals as you keep a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Experience of Distribution Center Associate:

• It is compulsory to have a current forklift operator certification or license.
• Successful applicants will have obtained a high school degree or the comparable alternative.
• Previous work with forklifts and other equipment for transporting items in a warehouse context.
• Proficiency in safety procedures and equipment maintenance.
• A proficiency in handling fast-paced environments, hand-eye coordination, and an exceptional focus on details are all significant aspects.
• Aptitude to work with equipment over extended periods and capability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) with ease.
• Displaying bodily dexterity through the capability to be on one's feet, sit down, or move continuously amid various temperatures and conditions.
