Shift Manager
Job Summary of Shift Manager:
This role entails understanding and performing the routine activities of a retail store, providing support to store leaders, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. It encompasses hands-on coaching from seasoned professionals to acquire expertise in staffing, inventory control, food safety measures, product display strategies, and customer service standards. The individual will aid in maintaining a clean, well-organized, and adequately stocked setting, as well as developing skills for potential leadership roles in the organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Shift Manager:
- Extend a warm greeting to visitors and maintain a cordial atmosphere.
- Help oversee store activities by familiarizing yourself with and supporting in arranging, instructing, and educating team personnel.
- Supervise merchandise quantities and ensure shelves are consistently stocked and well-maintained.
- Comply with regulations concerning food safety, quality checks, and retail standards in food service sectors.
- Keep the store neat and organized by regularly cleaning and sanitizing the coffee stations, food zones, and restroom facilities.
- Skillfully operate the cash register while assisting with pertinent financial activities when required.
- Offer assistance in organizing events and meetings, and contribute to ensuring the store is ready for weekends and holidays.
- Journey as needed to back up adjacent store sites or to convey cash deposits.
- Fulfill assignments given by store management or the supervisory team.
Qualifications and Experience of Shift Manager:
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is a prerequisite.
- A minimum of one year working in retail, food service, or customer service is a prerequisite.
- Candidates with leadership familiarity in a related field are preferred.
- ServSafe or food safety certification can be an asset, but it is not an obligatory requirement.
- Confident in socializing with guests and team members in a bustling workplace.
- Displaying powerful vitality, versatility, and a commitment to aiding the team as necessary.
- Having a grasp of essential computer functions can come in handy.
