Job Summary of HVAC Technician:
This position involves the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in various environments such as homes, offices, and factories. Job Duties and Responsibilities of HVAC Technician:
- Carry out the installation, examination, upkeep, and fixing of HVAC systems to guarantee their optimal performance.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to pinpoint and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems effectively.
- Conduct testing, calibration, and fine-tuning of systems to ensure they operate at their best capacity.
- Ensure precise documentation of installations, repairs, components utilized, and time spent on labor.
- Engage in teamwork with experienced technical specialists for intricate assignments and guide less experienced colleagues when necessary.
- Follow the regulations outlined by the EPA, adhere to safety procedures, and comply with company policies.
- Fulfill extra responsibilities as instructed by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience of HVAC Technician:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary, with formal HVAC/R education being advantageous.
- Applicants must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in HVAC/R, with a preference for those with 5 or more years of experience.
- EPA certification is mandatory for all applicants, while possessing a state journeyman license is advantageous.
- Competence in utilizing HVAC diagnostic equipment, electrical and refrigeration systems, and technical diagrams.
- Proficiency in handling multiple tasks simultaneously, effective communication abilities, and adeptness in finding solutions to challenges.
- Possessing a spotless driving history and capacity to journey up to half of the time.
