Air Conditioning Technician
Job Summary of Air Conditioning Technician:
This role maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, independent initiative, and collaboration with team members to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with safety standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Air Conditioning Technician:
- Undertake the setting up, inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems to sustain their effectiveness.
- Utilize diagnostic tools for the detection and resolution of both electrical and mechanical anomalies.
- Implement testing, calibration, and fine-tuning measures to optimize system functionality.
- Record installations, repairs, parts utilized, and time spent on labor accurately.
- Join forces with seasoned technicians on complex projects and offer mentorship to junior staff as required.
- Comply with the EPA’s regulations, adhere to safety protocols, and adhere to the company’s policies.
- Handle supplementary tasks as assigned by managers.
Qualifications and Experience of Air Conditioning Technician:
- A high school diploma or GED is necessary, and formal HVAC/R training is desirable.
- This role mandates a minimum of 3 years of HVAC/R experience, with individuals who have 5 or more years of experience being highly sought after.
- Possessing a universal EPA certification is mandatory, with a state journeyman license being a beneficial addition.
- Competent in the use of HVAC diagnostic equipment, electrical and refrigeration systems, and technical diagrams.
- Proficiency in multitasking effectively, communicating clearly, and solving problems adeptly.
- Maintaining an untarnished driving history and capability to travel for up to half of the required period.
