Job Summary of Retail Team Leader:
This position is responsible for managing all store operations, including team development, sales growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The role is focused on driving performance through strategic leadership, fostering an engaging work environment, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Retail Team Leader:
- Support the growth and mentorship of management and associate teams to foster a high-performing and motivated workforce.
- Attract and retain a variety of skills while promoting a culture of collaboration and responsibility.
- Achieve higher store revenue and profitability by effectively executing business strategies and encouraging teams to perform at peak levels.
- Support initiatives geared towards enriching guest experiences and use feedback tools to drive improvements.
- Abide by corporate expectations for merchandising plans, operational protocols, and brand norms.
- Heighten interest in credit and loyalty programs through educating associates on how to clearly promote the benefits to guests.
- Direct store operations by overseeing activities like managing payroll, scheduling shifts, monitoring inventory movement, and executing signage placement.
- Access and navigate the company’s systems and software, which include Zebra PDA, POS, Microsoft Office, and scheduling utilities.
- Uphold accuracy in operations along with a tidy, secure, and well-maintained store environment.
- Follow through on any other duties delegated by senior executives.
Qualifications and Experience of Retail Team Leader:
- A high school diploma is necessary, though having a college degree is preferred.
- For this position, it is desirable for candidates to have 2–3 years of management experience.
- Exceptional abilities in coaching, communication, and leadership.
- Established ability to effectively interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, POS systems, PDA devices, and scheduling applications.
- Equipped to navigate through multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Flexibility in scheduling with a willingness to work mid shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
