Job Summary of General Manager:
This job involves mastering and performing the day-to-day operations of a retail outlet, backing store management, and providing exceptional customer service. It incorporates hands-on mentorship from seasoned leaders to acquire expertise in workforce management, inventory control, food safety protocols, product presentation techniques, and customer relations. The team member will assist in preserving a clean, organized, and well-stocked space, while developing skills for future leadership roles within the organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of General Manager:
- Greet visitors warmly and cultivate a hospitable atmosphere.
- Back up store functions by acquiring insight and aiding in timetabling, directing, and educating team associates.
- Track merchandise levels and replenish stock to uphold appropriate product quantities and orderly shelf displays.
- Abide by protocols regarding food safety, quality assurance, and marketing criteria in dining facilities.
- Maintain the store’s cleanliness standards by regularly cleaning the coffee stations, food areas, and restroom facilities.
- Capably run the cash register and offer help with applicable financial procedures.
- Aid in the setup of events and meetings, and help maintain the store’s readiness on weekends and holidays.
- Move between locations as needed to assist nearby stores or to transport deposits.
- Undertake responsibilities as delegated by store management or the supervisory team.
Qualifications and Experience of General Manager:
- Candidates must have completed high school or earned a GED.
- A requirement for this position is one year of previous experience in retail, food service, or guest service.
- Experience in leading others within a similar environment is preferred.
- Although ServSafe or food safety certification is a positive attribute, it is not obligatory.
- Capable of engaging with guests and colleagues comfortably amidst a rapid pace.
- Manifesting potent liveliness, flexibility, and a dedication to fulfilling the team’s needs.
- Being competent in basic computer operations can be valuable.
