Hazmat Driver
Job Summary of Hazmat Driver:
Transport refined materials from bulk storage sites to designated destinations such as retail outlets, distribution centers, and corporate customers by following a consistent routine of fulfilling delivery orders according to set procedures.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Hazmat Driver:
- Safely transfer fuel at customer-owned external terminals.
- Provide fuel delivery services to company store establishments based on assigned routing instructions.
- Ensure that the dispatched merchandise is in accordance with the correct store location.
- Abide by the rules outlined by both the company and the Department of Transportation in the process of loading and unloading hazardous goods.
- Uphold roadway safety by obeying the driving laws mandated at both federal and state levels.
- Ensure DOT adherence by documenting service hours on a daily basis.
- Scrutinize and swiftly report any mechanical or equipment irregularities.
- Maintain a tidy presentation and ensure your vehicle’s interior and exterior are clean and well-maintained.
- Undertake supplementary assignments as required by management.
Qualifications and Experience of Hazmat Driver:
- - An individual must possess a high school diploma or a similar qualification.
- Candidates must have a minimum of three years of general tractor-trailer driving background.
- Needed: A track record of three years dedicated to driving for petroleum delivery services.
- Certified with a Class A CDL and specialized endorsements for transporting hazardous materials and tankers, complemented by a TWIC identification.
- Demonstrating a clear driving background and adhering to the guidelines of the DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Showing proficiency in passing and abiding by the standards set in the DOT physical evaluation.
