Job Summary of HVAC Service Technician:
This position involves the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in households, businesses, and industrial facilities. Job Duties and Responsibilities of HVAC Service Technician:
- Establish, examine, sustain, and rectify HVAC systems for smooth operation.
- Make use of diagnostic tools for the identification and resolution of electrical and mechanical complications.
- Perform rigorous testing, calibration, and fine-tuning to ensure systems are functioning optimally.
- Maintain precise logs of installations, servicing, components employed, and time consumed for labor.
- Coordinate with senior technicians on complicated tasks and provide guidance to junior staff members as required.
- Comply with EPA regulations, adhere to safety protocols, and follow the policies established by the company.
- Undertake added duties as required by the managerial team.
Qualifications and Experience of HVAC Service Technician:
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is mandatory, with formal HVAC/R training being preferred.
- This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC/R, although applicants with 5 or more years of experience will be given priority.
- Candidates are required to have EPA certification universally recognized, with a state journeyman license being the preferred qualification.
- Ability to effectively employ HVAC diagnostic devices, electrical and refrigeration systems, and technical diagrams.
- Exceptional ability to multitask, communicate skillfully, and address problems competently.
- Having a pristine driving record and capability to undertake up to 50% of travel requirements.
