Job Summary of Petroleum Transporter:
Maintain compliance with company protocols, Department of Transportation (DOT) stipulations, and safety measures during the transportation of refined products to guarantee the secure and efficient completion of deliveries.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Petroleum Transporter:
- Ensure the safe loading of fuel at external terminals for customers.
- Transport and deliver fuel to various store sites following designated delivery schedules.
- Validate that the delivered product aligns with the appropriate store address.
- Comply with the policies established by the company and the Department of Transportation regarding the transportation of hazardous materials.
- Follow the driving laws set by the federal government and individual states to ensure the safety of all road users.
- Complete daily service hour logs to comply with DOT standards.
- Conduct inspections and promptly inform relevant personnel of any mechanical or equipment problems.
- Uphold a professional image by ensuring your appearance is clean and your car is well-kempt both inside and out.
- Fulfill extra responsibilities as directed by higher-ups.
Qualifications and Experience of Petroleum Transporter:
- - Completion of high school or its comparable credential is a necessity.
- A minimum of three years of overall experience operating tractor-trailers is necessary.
- Requested: Three years of experience specifically in driving for petroleum deliveries.
- Holds a Class A commercial driver’s license including endorsements for Hazmat and Tank, in addition to possessing a TWIC card.
- A driving record free of infractions and compliance with the DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse regulations.
- Being able to pass and sustain compliance with the DOT physical examination requirements.
